  1. I have over 60 points. However, I contacted Papa Johns and they said they are usable at other Papa Johns locations. So, I guess I'll be ordering pizza when I visit my sister in Pittsburgh.
  2. SIGEL
  3. The only thing I saw about that was that it wasn't Kim who set it up, I believe it was her nephew. As for why anyone wouldn't want to accept help, many times people who are usually the 'helpers' have difficulty being on the receiving end of help when they need it.
  4. They are scheduled to reopen that area on Friday. Also, there has been some talk about turning the one out building which I think is the one where they have the bulk foods, into a small restaurant for the time being. They are hoping to rebuild the main restaurant. Meanwhile the owners nephew has set up a Go Fund Me page to help with feeding the animals.
  5. Well it's a realty company, I'm thinking they would build some kind of housing complex.
  6. The mall is owned by a realty company, the rent 'loss' can be deducted from their revenue for income tax purposes.
  7. I think they have had other plans for that mall location since they purchased it. Personally, I think the rent raise is an effort to clear out the mall so they can tear it down and sell the land for other purposes.
  8. It could be that particular stylist isn't moving with Candy's and is going to the new salon. I know originally Candy's was Holiday Hair and shortly after they moved to the other mall, Candy who was the manager opened the salon back in the old location under her own name.
  9. Oddly enough the section of the mall you say they should keep is the only section that was here when my family moved to this area in the 70's. We moved here from Pittsburgh and my father drove all around town looking for the 'big mall' that people had told him was in DuBois.
  10. Speaking of your weenies, did you see the Heinz commercial?
  11. When I make it, I use ketchup but my sister makes it with gravy. I don't like it when restaurants bake it with ketchup, then pour gravy all over it. One or the other, please.
  12. I thought you waited until after the 'onion' snow?
  13. Banana Bread 4 eggs 2 cup white sugar 1 cup oil 1 1/8 cup rice flour 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp sea salt 3/4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla 3 bananas mashed Beat eggs, gradually beat in sugar, then oil. Mix dry ingredients together and add alternately with bananas. Bake in greased pans at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. It makes 2 bread loaf pans, or I use one bundt cake pan. I solved the problem of nobody wanting to eat the 'ends' that way.
  14. Blueberry Delight Cookies 1/3 cup margarine 2/3 cup sugar 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp sea salt 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 cup rice flour 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce 1/4 cup blueberries Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add milk, vanilla and beat until smooth. Beat in remaining ingredients except blueberries. Fold in blueberries. Drop by teaspoon 2" apart onto cookie sheet. Bake 10 - 14 minutes.
  15. Rice Flour Muffins - makes 6 muffins 1/2 cup pureed banana 1/2 cup milk or water 1 cup rice flour 1/2 tsp sea salt 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp. margarine melted Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 6 muffin tin. Stir banana into milk. Add dry ingredients and margarine. Mix until moistened. Fill the muffin cups two thirds full. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes.
